Lake Flato uses refined material palette for infill art gallery in Texas
by Kate Mazade
Galerie ran a preview of ARTHOUSE ahead of the April 25 opening, focusing on the collection that Mickey and Jeanne Klein have built over decades.
The piece walks through the building’s minimal white exterior on Main Street, the 2,000 square feet of exhibition space inside, and the Japanese garden courtyard that sits alongside it. It also touches on the Kleins’ long history as arts patrons, including their support of the Whitney.
Works by Ed Ruscha and James Turrell get a mention in the coverage of the opening show.
