Lake Flato completes Marble Falls Arthouse in Texas Hill Country

The Architect’s Newspaper covers the completion of ARTHOUSE and its place on the historic Main Street streetscape.

Body: The Architect’s Newspaper covered the completion of ARTHOUSE, framing it as a piece of Main Street vernacular built on what had been a vacant lot next to the 1910 post office.

The article details the two-story arrangement, the clerestory window that carries most of the natural light into the exhibition space, the 12-foot ceilings with exposed steel trusses, and the awning that echoes the rest of the street with a contemporary limestone treatment.

It also notes that the Kleins began working with Lake|Flato on the project back in 2022, and includes comments from both the Kleins and lead project designer Grace Boudewyns.
